Job Telecommunicatons Field Engineer, Albury

We at Civitech Solutions are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our rapidlygrowing and innovative team.

You will install, maintain, and repair telecom systems at client sites. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in diverse environments to ensure uninterrupted connectivity for our customers.

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including fiber optic, copper, and wireless systems.
• Conduct site surveys, prepare installation plans, and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on telecom hardware and network components.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service calls, and equipment.
• Liaise with customers to provide technical support and ensure service satisfaction.
• Coordinate with network engineers and project managers to deliver on-time installations and upgrades.
• Ensure all field work complies with industry regulations and company policies.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Field Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in fiber optic splicing, cable termination, and network equipment installation.
• Strong understanding of telecom systems (VoIP, microwave links, LTE/5G, broadband).
• Familiarity with test equipment (OTDR, spectrum analyzer, network testers).
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and travel to various job sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., FOA, CCNA, Safety Training) are an advantage.
